Plot: This film tells the story of a girl who wants to be a cricketer and has full family support. She also selected for the Indian cricket team, but an incident occurs in her life that changes her entire life and breaks her courage and dream of becoming a cricketer, causing her to be unable to play. What has happened to her? Will she be able to play again? Will her dream ever realized? To find out the answers to all of these questions, watch the film.
Theme and Tone: The film’s tone is “Sports Drama“. There is a mixture of struggle, hard work, and emotions, and the “Haar aur Jeet” is the theme, and it is about cricket. The goal of making this film is to convey an inspirational message while also providing entertainment, namely that one should never give up in life, no matter how many difficulties and problems arise. We should keep trying for victory; one day, we will undoubtedly succeed.
Acting and Characters: Abhishek Bachchan‘s performance as “Paddy” is outstanding. He has given life to the role of coach. His character is well-written, and his portrayal of someone with a complex personality appears to be very true to life. He has played a very mature role, and it appears that the director kept him in the spotlight while writing the story. Saiyami Kher‘s Performance in the film “Ani” is also excellent. Her role depicts a very difficult struggle. How she fights and struggles through her life. How she works day and night to realize her dream again. She did an excellent job portraying a different type of struggling girl. She overflowed her heart and soul into her character.
Shabana Azmi‘s performance as “Daadi” is also impressive. There isn’t much to say about her. She is an incredibly talented actress. She has won numerous awards for her performances in films, and her nomination for Best Supporting Actress for this film is almost certain. Acting in such a role represents a significant achievement for her. It is a right-handed game, and Angad Bedi‘s performance as Jeet is also good.He didn’t have much room to grow, but he did an excellent job with what he had. Ivanka Das and Shivendra Singh Dungarpur are excellent supporting actors. Amitabh Bachchan also plays a special role.
This film was directed by R. Balki. Before this film, he directed several excellent films, including Cheeni Kam, Paa, Shamitabh, Ki & Ka, Padman, and Chup. All of his films are either critically acclaimed or commercially successful. He directed the story of this film in a unique way. His execution is excellent. The pace of the film is fast. This film is excellent, as are his previous ones. He has told the story in a straightforward manner. A little suspense input is also kept, and it opens near the end of the film. The film keeps the audience interested until the end.
Story, Screenplay & Dialogues: R. Balki, Rahul Sengupta and Rishi Virmani wrote the story in a unique way, and the screenplay is also tight. The dialogues are very well written.
Cinematography: Vishal Sinha‘s is amazing.
Music and Background Score: Amit Trivedi is very good, according to the mood of the film, Ghoomar and Taqdeer Se Takra are very well done.
The lyrics by Sawanand Kirkire and Kausar Munir are well written.
The editing by Nipun Ashok Gupta, is good, and the film’s pace is also fast.
Sound design by Debasish Mishra is good.
Production design by Sandeep Sharad Ravade is good.
Costume design by Aesha Merchant is good.
Action: Vikram Dahiya is good; there was not much scope.
The choreography by Bertwin Ravi D’Souza, and Shampa GopiKrishna of song “ghoomer” is excellent.
Climax: Very well made.
Opinion: Must-Watch! Those who enjoy watching motivational films.
Flaws: There is no FIR for accidents, so whoever did it is not caught, implying that they caused an accident and fled!
What about CCTV cameras installed on roads? According to the fictional story, this error can be ignored.
Filmfare Awards Nominations 2023: The Film got nominations in some categories like Best Actor(Critics), Best Actress(Critics), and Best Supporting Actress. But did not get any award.
